Hey there — we want to be straightforward with you about what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. No legal jargon, just clarity.
Who we are
The Content Kitchen is a members-only app created by Marketing by Shelby, owned and operated by Shelby Leigh. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach us at support@shelbyleigh.co.
What information we collect
Information you give us:
- Your email address and password when you create an account
- Your brand profile information including your brand name, niche, target audience, brand voice, social media handles, website, current offers, and any other details you choose to share
- Any content you generate using the app
- Monthly reflections and goal-setting responses if you choose to fill those in
Information collected automatically:
- How many content generations you use each month (for usage tracking)
- When you last logged in
- Basic usage data to help us improve the app
How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Provide you access to the app and its features
- Personalize AI-generated content to your brand using the details you've shared
- Track your monthly generation usage against your plan limit
- Improve the app experience for all members
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
Third party services we use
To run this app we work with a small number of trusted services:
- Supabase — stores your account information and brand profile securely. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. (supabase.com/privacy)
- Anthropic — powers the AI content generation. When you click "Personalize for My Brand," your brand profile details and the template content are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your personalized output. Anthropic does not use your data to train their models. (anthropic.com/privacy)
- Vercel — hosts the app. Your personal data is not stored on Vercel. (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
How we protect your information
We take security seriously:
- Your password is encrypted and never stored in plain text
- All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections
- Each member can only access their own data — no member can see another member's brand profile or generated content
- API keys and sensitive credentials are never exposed in the app
- Access to the app requires an active membership — when your membership ends your account access is removed
How long we keep your information
- Your brand profile and everything you've personalized in the app are kept for as long as you're an active member, so you always have access to your own history — no matter how far back it goes
- When your membership ends, your access to the app is revoked, and your brand profile, account, and all generated content are permanently deleted within 30 days. We do not hold onto your information after you leave
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you
- Update or correct your brand profile at any time within the app
- Request deletion of your account and data by emailing support@shelbyleigh.co
- Ask us any questions about how your data is used
A note about AI-generated content
When you use the personalization features in this app, your brand profile details are used to generate customized content suggestions. Please review all generated content carefully before posting. We are not responsible for AI-generated outputs — always use your own judgment before publishing anything to your audience.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy we will notify active members by email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
